Groups
LWML
LWML ( Lutheran Women's Missionary League) meets monthly on the first Tuesday. Our meetings begin at 2:00pm. We have Mite boxes available to collect change, which we donate quarterly to our District for mission grants. During the year our LWML society also gives to other missions, local or otherwise. Every February we host a prayer meeting, in July we hold a picnic, and each December we host a pot luck Christmas party.
We are mission minded. We look forward to all women joining us.
And He said to them, " Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15
Women’s Serving Groups
Serving is an attitude of the heart. Through these groups, women of our congregation serve others through various means such as planning and preparing luncheons for funerals, anniversary celebrations, VBS, etc. Every woman in our congregation serves on a serving group. We currently have five serving groups.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Women's Fellowship Group
The St. Luke's Women's Group meets the third Saturday of the month at 9:00am. We offer Christian fellowship at our monthly meetings as well as at other events throughout the year, including our Women's Fellowship Saturday in January. The Women's Group sponsors a Guatemalan student makes and distributes cookies to shut-ins at Christmas, gives time and financial support to church projects, and supports local agencies. The group is open to all women of St. Luke's. We would love to have you join us.
Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
Men's Fellowship Group
The St. Luke's Lutheran Church Men's Group was established to promote St. Luke’s mission statement of “Forming Disciples to be Christ’s Healing Hands.” This is done through providing Christian fellowship for all men at St. Luke’s. Help is provided for those in need by reaching up to God, out to the community and in to members of St. Luke’s. Activities include prayer, assisting with church/community events and donations of finances and/or labor.
Membership in this organization is open to all men who are members of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, New Richmond, Wisconsin. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at the church. The group is led by a President, Vice-President Secretary/Treasurer, Chaplin and other such officers as may be deemed necessary. The group considers requests for assistance by contacting an officer of the group or the office of the church.
